Thermal Imaging Services

Not all problems in your home are visible at first glance. There can be several issues that can be hiding behind walls, under flooring and in the roofing. CSE Inspections offers Thermal Imaging service using the advanced technology of an infrared thermal imaging camera. The thermal imaging allows us to see areas of heat loss and excess heat we can’t see with the naked eye. This allows us to detect issues such as; poor insulation or areas where insulation is missing. Cooler areas that are found could indicate there might be unseen moisture or water erosion that could indicate the possibility of mold growth. If heat is found during this process it could let us know of electrical problems that might be present. Some electrical issues that could be found are wiring and fixture problems along with if the electrical panel is overheating or malfunctioning.

What we are able to see with Thermal Imaging

This allows us to detect issues such as; poor insulation or areas where insulation is missing. Cooler areas that are found could indicate there might be unseen moisture, and indicate the possibility of mold growth. If heat is found during this process it could let us know of electrical problems like an electrical panel overheating or malfunctioning, that will possibly lead to bigger problems.

Areas we use thermal imagining:

  • Roof Infrared
  • Electrical Infrared
  • Moisture Infrared

Detecting moisture intrusion with a thermal imaging camera can find:

  • Plumbing leaks
  • Hidden roof leaks before they cause serious damage;
  • Missing, damaged and/or wet insulation
  • Water and moisture intrusion around penetrations and at the foundation and building envelope that could lead to structural damage and mold.

THERMAL IMAGE SERVICES FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

Inspecting commercial buildings using thermal imaging is a great way of monitoring and evaluating the condition of the building. Being able to identify problems early and have them documented and fixed before it becomes a bigger problem, resulting in a more expensive repair. It’s also a good idea to have your building inspected with thermal imaging just to diagnose any energy inefficiencies to detect property defects. This is a valuable service that aims at finding issues that could be costing you money and allowing you to find solutions of energy efficiency.
